JimStim V1.5 RPM Feinregulierung (RPM FINE) spinnt manchmal

ich hab gerade mein JimStim V1.5 so angeschlossen damit ich das Tachsignal checken kann:

Power off the JimStim and disconnect it from the MegaSquirt
Remove the pull up jumpers
Remove the primary tach jumper
Set the wheel mode to distributor mode (all DIP switches off)
Connect a wire jumper from the primary tach header (where the jumper usually goes) to an IAC led. Use the primary tach header pin closest to the pots (away from the PRIMARY TACH text) and the last pin of the 10-pin header (pin closest to the pots)
Connect a wire jumper from the other side of the IAC led to 12V. Use the next to last pin on the 10-pin header (just besides the pin connected in the previous step) and one of the pins on the 3-pin header besides the voltage regulator.
Turn the RPM pots all the way counterclockwise.

Es funktioniert alles, jedoch wenn ich das RPM FINE - Poti ganz langsam aufdrehe, kann es passieren dass die IAC2- LED sofort andauernd leuchtet (bzw. die Helligkeit leicht flackert). Drehe ich anschliesend ein bisschen weiter faengt die LED "ganz normal" langsam zu blinken an.

Habt ihr dieses "Problem" auch?

Hi,

löte das Poti für "fine" noch mal nach.
Speziell der Pin an Masse ist doof zu löten, weil die Massefläche, die mit erwärmt werden muss für eine gute Verbindung, sehr groß ist.
Ich hab für die Massepins aller Potis eine dickere Lötspitze und eine höhere Temperatur genommen, gut erwärmt und dann erst Zinn zugefügt, hab auch einen Flussmittelstift benutzt...

Ansonsten noch mal prüfen, ob Pin 13 und Pin 14 vom Prozessor richtig angelötet sind...

Danke Carsten fuer deine Hilfe,

also loeten kann ich eigentlich sehr gut - ich hab es nachgeloetet aber es brachte keine besserung.
Ich glaub eher das Problem liegt am Poti selber.... weil es funktioniert ja ansich nur zu Beginn wenn man das Poti leicht aufdreht spinnt das Teil....

Hatte jemand schonmal dieses Problem?

hm... stimmt... bei "schlechten" Potis kommt sowas bisweilen mal vor...

Löt es doch mal aus und versuche testweise das von dem "Spare" Kanal....

The lowest possible RPM is 60. What you're doing there is that you are putting the fine pot in a position that is just between 59 and 60 so the JimStim starts and stops as fast as it can read the pot value. I'm tempted to say: simply don't do that, it's not needed for testing your MS.
