Hi,

i have a saab 9-5 with original pickup sensor and wheel on the crank.
its a 60-2 pickup.

but i am getting a strange signal, so the engine wont rev past 2000 and losses sync.
rpm go's from 2400 - 0 and back.

i think the wheel in the engine is not good. but that almost impossible the original injection system did run. but not possible to build it back, car is complete empty. the have rebuild the engine couple years back.

change ecu, changed wirring from sensor, changed senor with other car. everything looks good. but the signal isn't good.
i have another car with original injection system Peak to peak is 5 -10 volt idle. this is only 3volt.
another car with same sensor that i have here is 20volt peak to peak idle and 70volts at redline.

Hi, its a KDFI basic board latest version.

but changed it out with other ecu's and same faults. but i you look at the signal, after the missing thoot, its going up, and doesnt go through the 0 volt line.

KDFi 1,4?

Have you tried to do a trigger log within tunerstudio?

yes, and it gives the red bars when it loses sync.

can't make more of it. but the trigger signal is to low in amplitude when i compare with all the other cars here.
and the first tooth after the missing tooth is a problem i think. but wanted to get somebody else is look on this .

Whart is the gap between the sensor and the toothed wheel?

no idea original saab, so shouldn't be that much. 0.4-0.6mm i think. would need to take oil sump off to measure.

The pattern from the wheel looks not to bad.
VR+ and VR- are connected to the KDFI?

i fixed the problem with putting the sensor closser (had to machine it to be able to do that.)
the first theet after the missing 2, is not on the same dept.
